 |  Sensei Frank McGouirk, 6th Dan Frank McGouirk was promoted to first-dan in 1965 by Koichi Tohei Sensei. McGouirk founded Aikido-Ai of Southern California, Inc. in 1981. He received Tai Chi certification from Grand Master Sifu Y. M. Cheng in 1981. He co-founded the Whittier Dharma Kai Zen Center with Zen Master Ji Bong in 1983 and currently is the center's Abbot. McGouirk studied Qigong at Huaxia Zhineng Hospital in China. He received Qigong certification in 1998 from Qigong Master Luke Chan. McGouirk has hosted the Mt. Baldy Zen Center Aikido-Ai Memorial weekend retreat for the past 23 years.
He is pleased to be associated with his teacher, Frank Doran, and proud of his son, Billy McGouirk, 5th Dan, who is also Doran's student. |
